Proceedings of the First HKBU - CSD Postgraduate Research Symposium ( PG Day )
In this paper, we show our current work on our Non Self Organizing Multi Agent System (NonSOMAS) and Self Organizing Multi Agent System (SOMAS). Through experiments and analysis, we investigate how Self-Organized Criticality (SOC) phenomena arise in SOMAS rather than in NonSOMAS. Furthermore, we compare the order of agent performance in the two systems and explain its implications.
متن کاملGlobal-to-Local Design for Self-Organized Task Allocation in Swarms
We propose a global-to-local design methodology to compose heterogeneous swarms for self-organized task allocation. We consider embodied agents with only local knowledge and local communication driven by a simple reactive-control architecture (i.e., local level). We define finitely many agent controllers and focus on the macroscopic dynamics (i.e., global level) of behaviorally heterogeneous sw...
متن کاملIntroducing homophily to improve semantic service search in a self-adaptive system
Humans create efficient social structures in a self-organized way. People tend to join groups with other people with similar characteristics. This is call homophily. This paper proposes how homophily can be introduced in ServiceOriented Multiagent Systems (SOMAS) to create efficient self-organized structures.
متن کاملCo-design of Dynamic Real-time Scheduling and Cooperative Control for Human-agent Collaboration Systems Based on Mutual Trust
Mutual trust is a key factor in human-human collaboration. Inspired by this social interaction, we analyze human-agent mutual trust in the collaboration of one human and (semi)autonomous multi-agent systems. In the thesis, we derive time-series human-agent mutual trust models based on results from human factors engineering. To avoid both overtrust and under-trust, we set up dynamic timing model...
متن کاملA Self-organized Multi Agent Decision Making System Based on Fuzzy Probabilities: The Case of Aphasia Diagnosis
Aphasia diagnosis is a challenging medical diagnostic task due to the linguistic uncertainty and vagueness, large number of measurements with imprecision, inconsistencies in the definition of Aphasic syndromes, natural diversity and subjectivity in test objects as well as in options of experts who diagnose the disease. In this paper we present a new self-organized multi agent system that diagno...
